Knitting…a viable solution for work distractions?

Other than a great accent and a good laugh, that video offers little to actually help you fight off distractions at work. Whether you work from home or in a cubicle farm, focused energy wanes as distractions abound.

Distracted

That’s the adjective for you, the modern worker.  Why?  The average worker manages to actually work less than 6 hours of his or her 8 hour work day.  It’s not that you mean to fritter away those 2 hours, it’s just that you find your head popping up every time someone walks by or makes a call.  You can’t help it…or can you?

An ideal solution

It’s time to try something new…and not Operation, fun as it is.  Our free white noise generator does just that- it provides a low-level hum that reduces the impact of distracting noise.  You can even customize your own white noise and preset for your convenience for work, home, or even while traveling.

Skillz

There are a lot of necessary skills for the work place.

Sadly, this is not one of them.  Even more unfortunate is the fact that many of the skillz your coworkers tout are ones that do not exactly add to your level of productivity.  Star Wars was pretty amazing, but how many Chewbacca impressions do you really need to subjected to?

Seriously, how many times are you distracted at work?  Whether it’s irritating ring tones or bizarre “talent,” doubtless you have found yourself unfocused.  It probably feels like writer’s block…you purse your lips as you stare at your computer screen, thinking about your next key stroke.  A genius idea comes…and goes.  As you attempt to catch it on its next fly-through, your mind wanders.

We’ve all been there.    It’s frustrating to lose a brilliant idea.  It’s even more irritating when it’s a result of not being able to concentrate because of all the racket your coworkers are making.  Whether at home, work, or even traveling,   our free white noise generator can and will help you tune out all those pesky distractions, Wookiees and all.

Scrantonicity

Do you feel like you work for Dundler Mifflin?  Every time you manage to actually focus on your work, someone or something distracts you?  Be it an office rivalry, a hilarious practical joke, an awkward dating situation, a company party that starts at noon, or a ridiculous boss, you just can’t keep your head on your task.  And, while it’s kind of fun to constantly shirk your work responsibilities, sometimes you really do need to focus and not referee an alpha male contest.

Fear not, we have a weapon in the workplace even better than Dwight’s arsenal: free white noise generator.  By adding low-level background noise to your office area, you can tune out the water cooler convos, specialized ring tones, anti-virus updates, sales calls, not to mention personal calls and the results of last night’s game or reality TV show.  And, just in case you missed it, this product is free.  It’s our gift to you- Merry Christmas.

From doors to cubicles

“While the rest of the economy continues to nose dive, I’ve been blessed to work for a company that is growing. As a result, we just moved … in the process, I went from having an office of my own to a cubical. I don’t really mind it at all, but I get to hear everyone else talk (and vice versa).”

Is this YOU?  Are you privy to every word spoken in your office, whether you like it or not?  Can the guy four cubicles down quote your sales pitch verbatim and tell you what you order for lunch every Monday?  If so, it might be time for change.  (You wouldn’t want him to actually sell something anyway.)

You may have heard of “white noise.”  For years, people like you have found that a low level of background noise can block out unwanted distractions (like the girl who recounts everything she ate that day and wonders why she isn’t married) so that you can focus on your job.  Using “white noise” won’t fix every problem you have at work (said girl might crush on you), but it will enable you to concentrate for longer than a few minutes at a time.  Try our free white noise generator for as long as you like.  We dare you not to get hooked.

Sensory Overload

Janice sneezes.

Tom uses his cliché sales line yet again.

Your boss slams his door.

David curses as the copier jams.

Kate’s high heels click-clack down the hall.

You hear it all, and it’s nearly impossible to actually work with the constant distractions.  Unfortunately your rent is still due and you’d like to eat in the near future, so not working is not an option.  Someone should write song about it…at the very least a limerick.

Coworkers so often distract
When they feel the need to reenact
Details so boring
That everyone was snoring
And the poor soul his tale had to retract.

Janice will sneeze again and Tom will definitely attempt his lame clichés- and soon.  However, you don’t have to be held prisoner by other people’s actions and resulting sounds.  With this free white noise generator, you can drown out all those distractions and actually work.  Imagine that- going to work and getting your work done.
